Hello! I’m Lydia Baillergeau—that’s by·air·jo.

At my core, I am a passionate storyteller focused on connecting brands with their audiences by creating memorable visual narratives that break through the noise, spark curiosity, and evoke emotion. In 2017, Surveymonkey went through a deep brand refresh that included a new mission: “Power the Curious.” I joined in February of 2017 to build from the ground up, an in-house video studio focused on crafting compelling stories that showcase the power of SurveyMonkey. 

Since joining in 2019, my role has expanded to include overseeing all brand design for our products’ portfolio. My days are spent weaving visual stories, helping guide and shape SurveyMonkey brand’s evolution, directing video, web experiences, and campaigns from start to finish. Whether it’s a video that is 20-minutes long or an integrated marketing campaign, it’s my goal to create emotionally engaging content.



I joined Upwork (formally Elance-oDesk) in 2014. The company undertook the ambitious task of rebranding from Elance-oDesk to become Upwork and there was a tremendous opportunity to breathe life into the brand via emotive storytelling.

My time at Upwork was full of interesting and challenging projects. From directing and producing Upwork’s first-ever video series of customer and freelancer stories to designing animated customer onboarding videos, my video work filled out a previously empty YouTube channel. I also had ample opportunities to put my love of good old fashioned typography and visual design skills to use by building out tons of print and web collateral for all areas of the business.
